Motivational Guest Speaker

On the 19th of April 2018, Dr Snezhana Djambazova -Popordanoska was invited as a guest speaker to deliver the presentation entitled “Stress Management Tips for International Students” at Kent Institute, Melbourne, Australia. The presentation was embraced with great interest by many University Students with different cultural and religious backgrounds, as well as many University Lecturers.

The participants were particularly interested to explore how our mental and physical health are related,  specifically how chronic emotional stress affects the immune system’s ability to regulate its inflammatory response. In turn, based on the latest research, those who experience prolonged stress are more likely to develop many inflammatory diseases including cold, asthma, autoimmune disorders, and heart problems. The participants were able to learn practical tips and strategies of how to manage stress effectively and respond to challenging situations in life in a calm and mindful manner.
